TEGV activity locations all across Turkey offer children a warm, embracing, well equipped, active learning environments.

Turkish Educational Volunteers Foundation (TEGV) was founded on 23 January 1995, under the leadership of Suna Kıraç and with the initiative of Turkey’s leading academics and business people, to support the basic education provided by government. In adition to its own activity locations, based on the protocol with Turkish Ministry of National Education, TEGV provides primary school children in public schools, especially in the disadvantaged areas, with quality educational activities for “free”.

TEGV activity locations all across Turkey offer children a warm, embracing, well equipped, active learning environments. Having completed all necessary training, our volunteers welcome children in our activity locations with great compassion and warmth, showing them they are valuable and important individual. Children have an active, inquisitive, experiential, fun learning experience at TEGV.

For Turkish children, TEGV is an alternative to the street, especially in geographically and socio economically disadvantaged regions. TEGV offers them an environment where they can improve themselves, socialize, have fun, and most importantly, be happy. All the activites at TEGV open up a new horizon for children. It enables them to spend their childhood beautifully and look forward to the future.
